Learning support is offered at our school to those learners experiencing difficulty in spelling, reading and Mathematics. This service is offered free of charge by the school.
Only those learners identified are then withdrawn from their classes twice per week to receive said support. A diagnostic test is initially conducted by our learning support educator to further pinpoint specific areas of concern to be focussed on.
To further strengthen this support to the learner, a teacher-support team is formed, comprising of the school deputy principal, our learning support educator and our resident social worker. They meet on a regular basis to consolidate their efforts in this area of support to these learners. At times (if need be) parents are called in and possible solutions and plans of action are discussed and implemented where possible.
